“Planet 51″ is a galactic sized animated alien adventure comedy revolving around American astronaut Captain Charles “Chuck” Baker, who lands on Planet 51 thinking he’s the first person to step foot on it. To his surprise, he finds that this planet is inhabited by little green people who are happily living in a white picket fence world reminiscent of a cheerfully innocent 1950s America, and whose only fear is that it will be overrun by alien invaders…like Chuck! With the help of his robot companion “Rover” and his new friend Lem, Chuck must navigate his way through the dazzling, but bewildering, landscape of Planet 51 in order to escape becoming a permanent part of the Planet 51 Alien Invaders Space Museum.

SMR Overall review: Great site with lots to do! Could have used an activity book, but even without it’s still fun. Can’t wait until the promotions link is up and working, at the time of our visit it still said “Coming Soon”.

Starring Dwane “THE ROCK” Johnson, along with Jessica Biel and Sean Scott Williams, this movie was no lacked of superstars!

The movie started off when American astronaut Captain Charles “Chuck” Baker lands on Planet 51. The green aliens were taken alert when a human alien landed on the their planet. While the green aliens were tracking Charles, Charles needed to find a way to get back to his space craft. With the help of a teenage alien and his probe, Rover, the adventure begins!

Look out for Rover and its antics. Quite a few scenes were very funny. The story and plot was predictable but the journey to the ending was unpredictable. Wait for more ending after credits!

The movie itself was a good family entertaining movie. Animations and the graphics were very well done. Hollywood stuff! Story was not that bad either, a comedy adventure that the kids will love.

An American astronaut believing himself to be the first person ever to set foot on Planet 51 gets the shock of his life in this animated adventure comedy featuring the voices of Dwayne Johnson, Jessica Biel, John Cleese, and Gary Oldman. Captain Charles “Chuck” Baker (voice of Johnson) was on a mission to boldly go where no man had gone before, a remote celestial body dubbed Planet 51. The scientific community had surmised that Planet 51 was uninhabited, so when Captain Baker steps out of his spacecraft to discover a race of tiny green people living in quaint communities reminiscent of 1950s America, he can’t quite believe his eyes. Unfortunately, the tiny extraterrestrials suffer from a universal fear that their utopian community will one day be overrun by alien invaders…just like the extra-large astronaut who now stands before them. As General Grawl (voice of Gary Oldman) and Professor Kipple (voice of John Cleese) attempt to capture the peaceful visitor so they can dissect him and learn more about his anatomy, Captain Baker must count on his robot companion, “Rover,” and his new friend, Lem, in order to navigate this strange new world and find a way back home before it’s too late. -
