After the realistic look on the ‘Fashion’ industry, Madhur Bhandarkar is all set to provide the audience a peek into the realities of prison, with his upcoming drama flick ‘Jail’. With a star cast boasting of names like Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mugdha Godse in the main leads and Manoj Bajpai and Ashish Sharma in the supporting cast, the movie is all set to hit the theaters on November 6, 2009. It has been produced by Shailendra Singh and will come out under the banners ‘Percept Picture Company’ and ‘Bhandarkar Entertainment’.

The story of ‘Jail’ revolves around the life of Parag Dixit (Neil Nitin Mukesh), a guy who seems to be living a dream life. He has a great job, a stable career and a loving girlfriend Maansi (Mugdha Godse). Everything in his life is just perfect. One fine day in his life changes it all. He becomes a victim to a series of unfortunate events and ends up becoming a prisoner in jail, where he is handcuffed and beaten up by the cops for no reason at all. In this alien land, he is bewildered, worried and hurt. No matter how far he tries to run away from the ugly truth, it is always there to stare him in the face.

The more Parag thinks that what is happening with is all a basddream, the more he finds himself succumbing to the prison anarchy. The only person who helps him in keeping his sanity intact is Nawaab (Manoj Bajpai), a convict and a warden. He is the only person who believes that Parag is innocent. With time, Parag comes to understand the inner mechanism of the prison, which has resulted in the pitiful state of affairs. He comes to know of people with broken hearts and crushed souls, whose only comfort is within the confines of prison. Now, he has only two choices with him – either to live this way (being controlled and exploited) or fight against the system! What will he do?

Madhur Bhandarkar upcoming movie Jail is gathering huge curiosity of late.The director has been busy shooting for Jail Bollywood Movie in the narrow and crowded by lanes of Bandra and the onlookers could not be happier!

An onlooker revealed, Madhur enjoys huge popularity among the masses and the classes all thanks to the hard hitting movies he makes. Thus when we got to know that he is shooting Jail Bollywood Movie behind the famous Lucky restaurant in Bandra for ace Jail we reached the venue to get a glimpse of the popular director.

Revealing about the Jail Bollywood Movie the onlooker added, Neil Nitin Mukesh has cut his hair so short that he almost looks bald. It looked liked the crew cut which Saif sported in Omkara and Akshay sports off the screen.

We called up Madhur to know more about the news and the filmmaker nodding iffirmative revealed, Neil and Manoj Bajpai play jail inmates in Jail Bollywood Movie .Knowing my style you would not be surprised to know that I asked them to get the crew
cut done as one does not expect the prisoners to look like heroes.

Adding more on Neil look he added, Vikram Gaikwad,who had earlier worked on Omkara, has done the hair styling of Neil in Jail Bollywood Movie .So there is a possibility of you finding the hairdos of Neil and Saif similar.

Not many leading ladies of Madhur Bhandarkar movies are lucky enough to be repeated by the filmmaker. Though Konkona Sen Sharma remains his personal favorite (she has starred in Page 3, Traffic Signal and a one scene appearance in Fashion), others like Tabu (Chandni Bar), Bipasha Basu (Corporate) and Neetu Chandra (Traffic Signal) have not been as lucky.

However,Mugdha Godse has made it to the elite list after being signed on to play the main female lead in Jail Bollywood Movie. Confirms Madhur Bhandarkar who would be kick starting the movie shoot in February,Yes, Mugdha Godse has been signed for Jail.She really impressed me in Fashion and it was only right that I bring her in as a female lead in my next movie.She is paired opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh.

Since Mugdha was noticed for her glamour quotient as well as acting potential in Fashion, how would she be presented in Jail Movie – Madhur replies, She would be having a semi glam look in the movie. That all I can say for now because anything more would only end up revealing the plot.At the moment, it would just suffice to say that Mugdha is not there in the movie just for glamour value but she is also critical to the movies plot.
